Euro Beats Dollar

In the fall of 2000 the dollar bought .82 euros (€) , but now a dollars buys 1.15 euros.  Consequently, U.S. exports to Europe can have a competitive advantage with the decline of the dollar and rise of the euro.  The down side:  imports from Europe cost more, because the dollar buys less euros.
